I knew of a similar case. The last house in the development, right next to an elevated freeway. It used to be a brothel, but hadn't been for years. Late at night to early in the morning, drunks would pound on the door.

The homeowner first asked his neighbor across the street if they would mind his raising a cacophony, and they said no.

So he first filled his front yard with mature cholla, "jumping cactus", a hellish monster with barbed thorns.

Then he installed both a *powerful* air horn and a very bright strobe light to his doorbell button.

For a time thereafter, he and his neighbor enjoyed his "game films" of men, drunken, blind, deaf and covered with painful cholla balls trying to escape to the street.
