Liz Cheney tried that and she lost the Republican primary by 30%, any Republican who tried to go a similar route will lose enough support in the primary or general election to end their career
Liz Cheney was in one of the most conservative districts in the country, completely incomparable to those in NY, CA, etc., who aren’t in that same boat.
Personally, I’d like to see McCarthy exit the stage as those 20 are digging in their heels, so since he can’t get the required votes the opportunity should go to someone else. In any case, someone needs to step off and get this mess in the rear-view mirror.

I agree with you on McCarthy, it seems to me if Republicans hope to change things l, you can’t keep electing the same leadership over and over and expect a different outcome, which is the classic definition of insanity
