I guess I’ll go ahead and announce that, Tuesday night, I purchased 6 boxes of pasta at WalMart worth an estimated 98 cents each. No joke, I was surprised they were still that cheap. I expected Biden’s inflation had already hit there, too. THEN I went to purchase some sandwich ham.
A $5.92 (February 2022) 2lb package of WalMart ham was about $8.47. Yowza.
BTW, 4 of the boxes were Penne pasta and 2 were Garden Rotini pasta (want to get more).
These go well with my 99 cent cans of pasta sauce from a local grocery store’s loss leader.
Using 2 cans and 2 boxes I can make enough food for 4-7 days for about $4 plus tax.
Not quite $32 million but I’ll first see if I can spare $32 million dollars........:)
In related news...
The image of the camel on the box famously included a small but subliminally perceptible image in that very genre. Also incapable of being unseen once seen.
