We are the **only** country with the name United States of AMERICA! If Costa Rican’s want to be called “American”, they can change the name of their country to Costa Rican States of America.
By the way,...If I as an AMERICAN can learn to properly pronounce Chile or San Jose, Costa Rica, they can learn to say NEW YORK or NEW JERSEY. It is **not** Nuevo York .
Yes, this gets on my nerves. I spent six months living in Costa Rica, living with Costa Rican family, while attending Spanish language schools. Their chauvinism was insufferable. Toward the end I stopped being polite.

"child prostitute" is replaced with a "child who has been trafficked," so the person is not defined by just one characteristic...Conservative students who object to the new terms are being asked to wear a yellow star on their outer clothing so their 'betters' will know who they - and act accordingly.
