El Paso mayor declares state of emergency as migrant crisis grows with end of Title 42
El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser declared a state of emergency Saturday in response to the worsening immigration crisis, which has left scores of migrants sleeping on the streets in recent days.
Though Leeser has long resisted issuing a state of emergency declaration, he said Saturday the move would allow the city to tap into much-needed additional resources, which will become necessary with the Dec. 21 end to Title 42 expulsions,
Leeser said the sight of people on downtown streets with temperatures dipping below freezing was the catalyst for the decision.
El Paso Deputy City Manager Mario D’Agostino said the state of emergency declaration would give the city more flexibility in operating larger sheltering operations and provide additional transportation for arriving asylum seekers.
As numbers of migrants continue to ramp up, D’Agostino said, additional state resources will be crucial to ensure there is enough space to shelter those who cannot get out of town immediately.
I read that the existing homeless shelters for citizens have been filling up with illegals. So the people freezing on the streets are most likely NOT recent arrivals.

No, not a total coup, even that didn’t sway people.
They had to cheat with mail in ballots, and that wasn’t enough.
So they had to get rid of observers and dump ballots hurriedly filled in for president only.
I bet Trump would’ve won by 70% if it were an honest election.

I heard that the El Paso Mayor was told by the Bye-done Regime to not declare a state of emergency till after the midterm election.
So he didn’t.
It would have called attention to the Border Crisis.
