Gibbard hits this one nail directly. But there are many nails, and I am not in agreement with those she hasn’t, will not, and never will strike at. Which means I would never consider Gibbard as a viable candidate that I would waste my vote on.

Agree. We may have found the SINGLE Republican (or at least Republican-sounding person, in this case) who DOES NOT feel the need to treat Frank Luntz as a God and listen to his ‘advice’ to stay away from ‘divisive issues’ as he sees them. Obviously mutilating kids is only a ‘divisive issue’ in the eyes of GOP ‘advisors’ who see the damage that can be done to the Democrats by pointing out their support of this crap.

Add to that they should be subject to the same surgery with no pain killers.

The medical establishment is failing to protect the mentally ill with ‘the states’ enthusiastic concurrence.
This goes back to the closing of asylums and rise of ‘main streaming’ the mentally and the use of community mental health centers. These seemingly moral ideas quickly devolve to where the mentally ill are basically on their own. Its particularly a problem when the patients reach adulthood. When that happens there is in many cases no way of enforcing medication and treatment. Also, since there’s no real control or standards quackery in this field abounds!
The state particularly loves passing all this onto ‘the community’ because it saves them money to waste on other things. The state can look ‘caring’ by shoveling taxpayer money to quacks & charlatans. It’s still cheaper in “the state’s” eyes then paying for institutions.
I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation. There are parts of our society that are beyond hope.
It’s clear to me, and she’s right. They do this for profits. What happened to do no harm? Pretty sure that’s gone OUT the window. These poor children. Some selfish adult that doesn’t actually care about them mutilates and makes them unable to ever have children naturally. Criminal. Absolutely criminal.
Performing mutilating surgeries on a patient with Gender Dysphoria is more criminal than prescribing diet pills to a patient with Anorexia.
I think we are seeing, now, what was really in “Obamacare”.
A politician speaking common sense. How rare. I would not object to her being Trump’s VP. I may not agree with her on everything, but she appears to be honest and has common sense.
I expect her to run for Congress or Senate in 2 years as an independent. Win. Then caucus with the Democrats.
