We’ve turned the corner where not having a tracking device (i.e. a smartphone) is seen as problematic. Going off the grid doesn’t require a declaration. Just do it.

So it’s laudable to be homeless being a nuisance and detriment to a community, but against the law to independently live off the grid, minding your own business.

My current gas, electricity and water bills all have monthly connection fees even if I don’t use their services. They would probably fightme going off the grid and disconnecting entirely.

Not too long ago an asshat with the Fed said in relation to digital currency that a job of banks is to make sure all transactions have verified IDs ... which is NOT the basic function of any bank.

The left can’t allow even ONE person to live without government control and taxes.

No. People do it all the time when they are selling their house. Also, some snowbirds here in Arizona do it off-season.

The article is lacking in specifics, because it’s bunk. An off-grid solar power plant can be built, permitted and inspected. A report for a good water well can be sent to the relevant state office. Your property can be owned by a business or non-profit for property taxes, so your name won’t be in that public record.
A good life is complicated. Get educated and deal with it.

If the aim is to hide your identity from everyone, that’s not going to happen. People are going to find out and know where you are. It’s always been that way.

And that’s why the reconnect fees are higher than 6 months of connection fees.

But no one can occupy the structure while it is in this mode.

It is worth while to consider, the first, small grid was built in 1882. Electrification did not come to most of the United States until after 1936.
The “grid” as we know it, is less than one hundred years old.
To: Duke C.
I believe the "trend" is starting to go the other way.
It is getting easier and easier to live off of the grid.
Yes, there are governments who do not want anyone to be free of their clutches... but more and more people do not wish to be controlled.
The free flow of information is more important than the control centrally produced electricity provides.
