Who raised this generation of ingrates? But take heart. There are still some good guys around. Last thanksgiving I was dining with the marching band on (Egg Bowl day). I asked one of my son’s band mates about how he came to be at MS State. He went to community college for two years because that was all he could afford. He transferred with the help of scholarships. He said he was so grateful for this opportunity, and was determined to earn it. An engineering major of some sort. He came from a poor, rural background and was heading upward.
I think we need to spend less time listening to rich crybabies and more time listening to the young people who are in community college and working their way forward.

True this. It's all about the culture they are in, came from. The former has no doubt been spoiled, never had to lift a finger to do crap, feels entitled and college is just another party to them, while the latter has applied themselves, earning everything they've got and grateful for it. You won't catch them lounging around on social media since they are too busy building a life for themselves - they too qualify as a "Silent Majority" category. Sadly some of the crybaby slackers, due to networking through family or political connections and not personal merit, will land positions of power over and inflict grief upon the poor kids who work their tails off pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps.

The problem is student loans. Parents and student aren’t attending on real money with real expectations. The are going with Monopoly money that the students never had. That is why when the graduate, get jobs and have to pay it back it becomes serious. Kill the student loan business. I will give DemonCraps the kudos, I never thought it would create losers / idiots so quickly.

Parents and students actually paying for college are too busy trying to finish for the fewest dollars 💵

Fed Gov has to stop student loans, which they should do. Red States can control curriculum & refuse to fund ethnic & gender studies. They should be putting emphasis on trade schools. Let ‘Liberal Arts’ be funded out of someone else’s pocket.
