Yes u were please excuse my brain fart...
No problem, we all have them. Even Gen Xers like me. :)
Like any of this is gonna matter when this new generation is in charge. When that happens it will be truely over for this country.
My Uncle had a rotary phone till the day he died.
And not a hint of causation or reflection on the disastrous policies of the marxist “boomer” policies from the likes of Clinton and the expansion of the federal government populated with marxist trained public employees.
Oh Yeah... It’s all Reagan’s fault...
..ya.. just the other day i was bsing with a guy at a bar took me 15 min to realize he was a classmate...but he never recognized me. I wonder if that was a poor reflection of his mind or a poor reflection of my aged face....
LOL, my ego would totally blame him.
In 1968 I was four years old.
He actually looked thinner, i am trying to keep the pillsbury doughboy look away.
Exactly but I don’t relate to the snot attitude being expressed.
That was my first thought.
Seriously?
GenX, you’re screwed! You are the first generation to have student debt that takes more than a few years to repay (mine was $3K by the time I graduated). You were the first to experience revolving car leases, so that you can actually PAY to get rid of your old clunker! You’re the first generation to receive Cracker Jack prizes that were only made of cheap paper.
Me too, in 56.
Spot on!
Gen X until 1982.
When I was small we were on a party-line.
We had a huge argument about that at my old job.
Our one friend, who is a Democrat was born in 1981.
So we would say whatever, you’re just a Millennial when arguing politics.
There’s a valid disagreement what is the starting date.

We were raised with the malaise of the Jimmy Crater years, and saw the incredible national revival of the Reagan years.
We were the last generation raised under the threat of Communist imperialism and we saw what an utter failure state socialism truly was as it collapsed.
We saw the tremendous birth of freedom caused by the fall of the Berlin Wall and the complete triumph of the West in the Cold War.
We were in our prime when Saturday Night Live was still funny, there was still comedy, people were not going around all the time desperate to claim victim status and the most popular show on television for years featured a couple good ole boys with a car called the General Lee that had a big beautiful confederate flag on the roof and a horn that played Dixie.
We grew up with real football before the pussification rules when big hits were part of the game and if you didn’t like that you could just choose not to play.
When we grew up masculinity was celebrated and men were expected to be tough rather than snivelling and crying like little beyotches.
We grew up with actual current Rock music being played on the radio.
We grew up before Political Correctness or Wokeism.
Trannies were seen as being mentally disturbed at best and were the punchline in movies from Crocodile Dundee to Bachelor Party to Ace Ventura.
We grew up in an era when nobody who was taken seriously by anybody questioned the importance of free speech - as we used to say to each other when anyone expressed a different opinion “its a free country”.
We. Get. It.
Boy this Kara is self absorbed and annoying. She is not a spokesperson for gen x.
