‘So suddenly his family is concerned about Georges “rep”?’

Two factors seems to be at play...

1. In their own minds, the family has likely replaced memories of the real George Floyd, a drug-abusing criminal, with a media-created fantasy “George Floyd,” icon of civil rights and martyr to white racism and police brutality. In other words, the bullsh-t narrative has been repeated so many times by so many people that even they believe it. Remember Floyd’s daughter proclaiming that “Daddy changed the world?” The fantasy “George Floyd” is obviously preferable to them compared to the real man.

2. Kanye is a rich man with deep pockets. The Floyd family are smelling a big payday. But, as pointed out above in this thread, the common-law rule has always been that an estate can’t bring a libel/slander/defamation case on behalf of the deceased.

He was dying before the cops rolled up. Complining he couldn’t breath before they laid him on his stomach. IIRC there came a point that he says I’m dead and then says to tell his family he loves them ... which I associated with him realizing what was actually happening, had been happening, to him. The narrative by contrast is what served the race grievance pimping community.

Yeah...I wonder if they went through the millions they made off of Floyd’s death and need a new money source. I think anyone that tries to make money off of a loved one’s death like George Floyd is cold-blooded. The events following his death is totally on this family and their lawyers. They could have tried to stop it but they didn’t. They fanned the flames and Floyd got 3 funerals and a gold casket. Ridiculous.

Nothing you wrote makes the police sound any better.

Is that my job?

They didn’t cause his death. In putting him on his stomach they were, knowingly or not, actually doing something that can help someone in respiratory distress.

And from what I heard at least some responders are trained to not trust claims that folks can’t breath, to apply restraint even as they do something like lay someone on their stomach.

Floyd died. But the cops didn’t cause it.

Then there’s the shenanigans the race grievance pimps were apparently pulling around the trial.

Of course they are. The Alex Jones case has now opened the floodgates to launch massive damage suits against anyone who has ever said anything that hurt your feelings.

Same info I recall regarding his cause of death. They even found a fentanyl pill he had coughed up on the back seat of the cruiser, before he was removed from the car. The cop was wrongly charged and convicted.
