Went to visit friends that have a place in Mexico and went way out into the country to a fancy outdoor restaurant in the mountains overlooking the Pacific.

Lots of young people driving expensive cars. Crowded, music, nice clothes. I’m guessing that these “kids” (20-somethings) were from families that had connections in the mob, government, and/or both.

There were 8 guards in tactical gear, face masks/balaclavas and AR style rifles around the perimeter of the outdoor seating area.

Not a normal occurrence in Japan.

Tourists?

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe they were not Japanese.

Not many bothered to read the article. Lol

According to an investigative source, those involved in the commotion appeared to be members of Chinese Dragon, a gang comprised primarily of second- and third-generation descendants of Japanese orphans left behind in China when Japan withdrew from the country at the end of World War II.

+1

saw a recent pic of her, and she looks great — seemingly aging well without the stupid surgery.

LOL - whenever I read about a restaurant riot, I think of the high society banquet food throwing wars that the Three Stooges were always accidentally causing or getting involved in.

French restaurants in Japan have “people who annoy you” for customers?

Tarantino always took the violence a bit too far in his movies but scenes like the one you posted make his movies worth watching overall. They way he works music into his movies is genius.

Never expected That in Tokyo.

I know, right? We can speculate that it probably wasn't racially motivated.
