At the moment. LNG prices will fall as facilities and transport ramps up. The world has tremendous amounts of nat gas.

The problem with pipeline NG is the source and the transit routes. These add a severe element of insecurity. And its worse if these are sole-source or sole-route. Unless you are careful you will end up with a monopoly (and sometimes, on the other end, a monopsony). Not good. Someone has political-economic leverage for God knows what.

LNG is an international commodity like petroleum; many sellers, many buyers, no monopolies or monopsonies. That makes for stability and security.

The security and stability requirements for such fuels are (or should be), extreme. California, back in the day, before it went insane, required those proposing nat gas plants as a substantial (but not sole, mind you) power source, to implement at least three sources and three independent pipeline systems. And those three sources and routes were all in the US or Canada. And so it was. That is the level of care required in such matters.

Depending on an unstable, often manic, often unreal place like Russia for anything important is laughable. One wild hair up someones ass and, well, you can see for yourself.

Quite. The funny part is that burning wood (and on a huge industrial scale) is German policy, what Germany was building out for at least 15 years.

This is far, far beyond making cook fires.

Rather nicely applies to Democrats in general, the Biden administration in particular, and RINOs like Liz Cheney, doesn't it?

I think all the German parties were compromised by Russian bribery. One of those things everyone knew but was unwilling to make a fuss about.

That sort of thing is typical of the way of the world.

Oh yes, them too.
They have already destroyed you, you know?
The US has already been murdered. The body is still bleeding out, but you all (we all, really) are going to have to deal with it once it keels over.

I don’t know if they’re still around, but they had produced some excellently engineered products.
I’m of the belief that most of the European Alpha males died in the wars, and beta simps were what remained.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I agree with you. The new generation managed to f*k up both Mercedes and BMW. These cars were the best engineered vehicles in the world back in the 80’s. They slowly became just like all the other plastic vehicles on the market, to the point where they are not very “distinguishable” any longer. Now Mercedes has 90+ various “computers” on board to manage the vehicle. Not reliable. Sad.

“As soon as Biden Re-elected Pres. Trump says we are opening up Keystone and the US will resume oil and gas production immediately
Fixed it.”

From your lips to Gods ears.

The Germans wouldn’t be screwed and would not have to deindustrialize if they would adopt Nuclear power on a large scale and drop the Gaia worship.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Their wounds are entirely self inflicted. Gaia Worship destroys nations.

Yes. The Germans have always been given to idealism and have always had this romantic and nature worshipping strain.

On the one hand they can be so incredibly anal and precise nd calculate everything so well......then they put all that modern precision and excellence in the service of something utterly idiotic.

Then they fall on their faces and have to be completely practical while they rebuild themselves from the ground up. Then once they have done that and are wealthy, they start the cycle all over again.

It will take time to fix no doubt. They’ve been completely idiotic about energy policy thanks to their Gaia Worship for decades.

But they need to mine coal, drill and frack and start building LNG terminals and nuclear power plants just as fast as they can RIGHT NOW. The sooner they drop their illusions and get to building some practical solutions, the sooner they can get out of this mess.

It wouldn’t end the war in Ukraine or the energy shortage in both North America and in Europe....but America maximizing its production capacity for coal, oil and natural gas would significantly alleviate the problem - and would make the US one hell of a lot of money and create a lot of good paying jobs in the US.

The only ones who would lose would be Gaia Worshipers and OPEC+.

They used to be the best engineers on the planet.
The importance of Wernher con Braun with respect to our space program can’t be understated.

--- "The body is still bleeding out, but you all (we all, really) are going to have to deal with it once it keels over."

An apt observation. Manufacturing something is something. Servicing it requires the manufacturing which occurs BEFORE the service.

An economy which does not manufacture is a shell wholly dependent on those who manufacture, build, grow, produce, mine, refine, make and so on. The current energy crisis in Europe is one such example, as the German manufacturers begin to panic.

During our time in Germany, I rather often spoke about the rich coal deposits and research into clean coal technology. The ideologues had no argument except to blather on about green, and no with the Greens in national leadership, they prove themselves empty of ideas going forward. "Worshiping Gaia" is not an economic strategy.

And the idiot liberal Germans think the third world rapefugees Muhammed and Abdul are going to care for them and pay the taxes required for their retirement and medical care.
