The problem is that we really don’t know what people are putting into their bodies and the long term effect of that. Artificial sugars, replacement flours and binders, highly processed foods, GMOs, etc… In the early eighties, the country pushed eating low fat but filled the foods with sugar and salt to make them better tasting. Before that, in the 40’s and 50’s, cigarettes were pushed as being healthy.
I still stand by that people can be made into food addicts without knowing it. Sugar is highly addictive and especially in people who suffer from depression or anxiety. We’ve been Guinea pigs to the food industry for a long time. Now add the pharmaceutical industry to that.
