It must be heartbreaking for people who grew up and have lived in California all their lives and have had to witness the changes.

So much beauty, history, and potential in that state, but those in charge are deliberately and maliciously destroying it all.

I grew up near Dallas, so I thought I knew what most big city highways would look like...no state I traveled to, and I traveled to more than 25 of them, looked as bad as southern California. It was atrocious!

San Francisco-Portland-Seattle comes to San Diego.
It sure is funny how if you follow their lead, you get the same result.

Absolutely. It really drags down the overall impression of a place when you see trash lining the roads like that.

I was just asking a friend about Del Mar. He lives in Oceanside, my mom lived in Del Mar for almost 40 years before she passed away in 2020. We were discussing homelessness and how some places seem to manage to keep it out, but he said it has come to Del Mar now, as well. I can imagine our open border has also changed things there. Come to think about it, hubby and I walked by Gates’ house one evening (2020) to see the bioluminescence and there was a homeless guy sitting against the wall of his property. Still, it does seem some towns control it better than others. I’m watching it grow in my small, seaside community in Washington and it’s very upsetting.
