Translation: Police doing their job and obstinate minorities getting in the way. Even in West Virginia. Question: Are you growing marijuana? Answer: I demand your name and badge numbers. This was not a “civil rights violation.” The police are allowed to drive up to your house and allowed to ask you if the marijuana growing in your backyard is stuff you are growing. The black couple made this a “racial” issue.
I can’t say much that someone else has not already said. Except this, you are far too predictable. An officer could walk up to someone and shoot then in the face completely out of the blue and you would claim he had full right and authority to do it.
You have absolute zero objectivity so your opinion is worthless.
We all have a 4th Amendment right of protection against unreasonable searches and seizures. The cop did not present a warrant, which he would have had to have obtained due to having some form of proof or reasonable suspicion, which he did not have.
The people of course were afraid of how he was acting. They never said, “You’re just doing this because we’re black.” Any normal person who did not know their rights would be afraid in this situation. Cop escalated, and his ego became the “warrant”. He arrested a respected military veteran. That was a disgrace.
Sure hope those deputies aren’t charged under 18 U.S. Code ยง 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law.
They could spend years in federal prison!
