California will start by first blocking AC that’s cooling homes less than 62 degrees F. No one will get too upset by that. Then slowly that number will be adjusted upward.
Eventually you’ll be in trouble with The Man if your AC is cooling your home less than 85 degrees F.

For years (until recently) I thought the message of Rush’s “Red Barchetta” was about the loss of personal freedom — our hero drives the Ferrari as an act of rebellion, escapes from the modern but limited pursuers, etc.
However, 2022 has highlighted a deeper key: “My uncle said it used to be a farm, before the Motor Law.” ... no farms, no food. The world can endure without California produce, but can California endure?
