I saw no Muslim names in the piece. No point, apparently, in making halal offerings available for Muslims while allowing pork for other kids. Nope.
Just a bunch of dhimmis.
Don’t forget abo0ut banning meat altogether during Lent, for Catholic sensibilities.
(Yes, I know some Catholics abstain from other things, but I believe that is a popular choice.)
It will be even more wonderful when “They” decide that all the students, regardless of faith, will fast during school hours during the month of Ramadan in order for the Muslim students to feel more accommodated.
Then “They” will move on to dress and sex segregated classrooms (that should be very interesting considering how “trans-friendly” Minnesota is supposed to be).
As a reminder, the early Christian community went through a significant struggle as to whether or not Jewish observations about food, dress, behavior, etc. would apply to followers of Christ as well. The Acts of the Apostles records this struggle and the ultimate discontinuation of Christians observing Jewish kosher dietary restrictions. So, “They,” in their decision to eliminate pork from the menu are violating a 2,000 year old Christian edict sanctioning it’s consumption.
(At this point, the pale, gaunt, but grimly ebullient vegan raises its hand and begins to describe the merits of an entirely vegetable diet …)
It’s the old “feed the alligator” strategy, hoping that it will eat you last.
