It's worthy of note that the DNC over the last few years has often been resorting to recycling has-beens in their election efforts. Maybe they think that just 'known' brand-names give them the best chances. That, and a 20-foot-tall pile of fraudulent ballots on election day.

I noticed that, and the use of electioneering to cheat.

Let’s not forget…after he got kicked out of politics for a while, he worked for Central Florida’s “favorite” ambulance chaser…John Morgan.

Rubio is running against Val Demming. Probably his most difficult election to date. Thank God DeSantis will pull him to victory. If it was just the senate seat, I’m not convinced he win.

One thing about Crist, he LOOKS like a crooked and corrupt politician. If he was an actor, that’s the jobs he’d get.

The gibberish of the mind of a lifelong opportunist, pole smoker (with a former billionaire wife as a knowing beard for his queer roundings). This clown needs to shut up and go away. Oh, and he now has a full Congressional pension, not to mention FL governor’s pension and his kickback money from John (for the “people’) Morgan and his former stripper wife/law partner.
One other thing: when governor created a second FL State song (held a contest for it- ridiculous POS pop song no one knows about)— to replace.. Stephen Foster’s Old Folks at Home/Suwannee River. The Stephen Foster State Park is on the Suwannee River, and annual Folk festival held there).
Quite a crew of his supporters. He’s Soooo sincere!!/s

[snip] “I became a Democrat because I am sincere.” So insisted Florida gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist while campaigning earlier this year. Crist is so sincere, in fact, that he is the only person in American history to have run for state-level elective office as a Republican, Democrat, and an independent. He has lost at least once in all three guises.
Crist has been pro-life and pro-abortion. He has opposed and supported LGBTQ rights. He has opposed tax increases and raised taxes. He has been for and against gun control. He has wanted to repeal and to maintain Obamacare. As Buzzfeed accurately put it the last time Crist ran for governor in 2014, “there is almost nothing Charlie Crist hasn’t flip-flopped on.” [/snip]

In a tough year in a state that is tilting against you, recruiting political veterans make sense because they have name ID and a network of donors, know the game, and are likely to rally the base and thereby avert a collapse in turnout. Most of all though, with billionaire support and the Presidency and Congress to sell, the Democrats have an advantage in campaign cash.
Given these factors and the scramble of redistricting, the Democrats have some hope of netting two or three US House seats in Florida and of beating a poorly performing Rubio in the Senate. Crist could threfore lose and still prove to be of great benefit for the Dems in Florida's Congressional races.
To: Rockingham
Very astute. That makes a lot of sense; thanks for your insight.
