It really is. Every scene is like a moving photograph.
I was wondering when Kim would beat feet.....the scene when she was in bed with her back to saul I turned to my wife and said “yep...she gone” lol...and sure enough.
The sanitation of the apartment was a trip.
And what a flash forward to his big house and hooker companionship.......he is now the full blown Saul Goodman depicted in Breaking Bad.

“...crazy libs, i.e., Dean Norris and Odenkirk...”
Sadly brian Cranston too for that matter.
Yes; I forgot about him. (Probably all of ‘em, truthfully.)
It’s been implied that Gus is gay. In a BB episode that flashes back to 1989, Hector shoots Gus’ business partner, Max, and a joke is later made that “Hector killed Gus’ boyfriend.”
Clearly, there was some gay chemistry between Gus and the waiter with Gus letting his guard down a bit before realizing his objective is to bury every last Salamanca.
Ye-ah. I was getting a bit uncomfortable with that scene. Thank Heaven it went nowhere. We were just discussing how non-woke BCS and BB are ... then Gus and waiter guy were getting all chummy over a bottle of wine or whatever.
Four episodes remain with this one ending around mid 2005, three years before Saul is introduced in Breaking Bad.
I predict the next two episodes will work up to 2008, when Saul and Walter White meet. The third episode will have Walt and Jesse, and the final episode and series conclusion will be entirely in post-BB Omaha.
And, really, Gus' story is now complete. I don't know if there's even a need to for him to appear in any of the upcoming episodes.
Do you think that Kim’s character is strong enough to carry a spin-off? I don’t think so, but maybe ...
Unlikely. Vince Gilligan, the show's creator, has said that after BCS concludes, he's moving on from the Breaking Bad world.
We saw an old X Files this week that Vince Gilligan had produced, directed, or something.
