If a person doesn’t choke up watching Brian’s Song, they have no soul.
That being said, I have ZERO problem saying that I flat out cry.
She redefines elitist liberal hypocrite jackass, but her cover of that Beatles song, while singing to the troops was amazing.
Fantastic movie.
He was in some great ones.
I never heard of “Elf”...
Nice! Great speech by John Houseman “Champion feels mean, no problems here!” I’m so old I remember James Cann in Mel Brooks “Silent Movie” scene with Mel Brooks, Dom DeLuise, Marty Feldman in his movie trailer eating melon balls. Check out Silent Movie it’s still funny! RIP Johnathan E!
I also liked him in “Countdown” from 1968 where he played an astronaut where they sent him to the Moon to beat the Soviets in a specially modified Gemini capsule.
Just recently saw “Rain People”
Not my favorite James Caan movie.
“…the reply was The Godfather of course.“
They should have added the line: “I especially liked the scene where that macho hothead, Sonny, got what was coming to him…
I don’t recall watching the entire run of the series so it might have happened if they kept the joke running.
He was in an episode of the Hawaii 50 reboot with his Son Scott who was the co-star of the series. Hard to believe that episode was 10 years ago. Scott looked like his father, same shorter stature, and distinctive walk.
He was in the Stephen King movie “Misery.”
C19fan, you are right 👍. Johnathan, Johnathan, Johnathan. A masterpiece on tyrannical corporate rule.
"Ride boldly ride." -Mississippi. I've pulled out the DVD and will watch El Dorado tonight as my personal tribute to James Caen.
What about “Brian’s Song”?
Look up "Gardens of Stone" with James Earl Jones. Also very good. Also very underrated.
I saw it. Good but not up to Thief.
