I was being facetious. The Europeans will push for the US to pay most of it.

Biden is saying the US must pay for it’s own demise.

He’s the “payment.”

Does anybody believe for a second that of the 600 billion any of it would be put to serious rebuilding of Ukraine?
It’s one of the top five most corrupt countries in the world.
They have had twenty years to get their act together and they pissed it all away and have a $3500 per capita GDP, and NO nukes.
Weak and foolish people.
And God can damn our intelligence and foreign policy idiots for their moral vanity that led to this mess.
Hey Jennifer Griffin, what have your silly tears done to help the people of Ukraine get back on their feet? ZERO.

I heard that in her youth, the Cheney’s were big fans of the game of Risk. Apparently, there was a big family split one game over the province of Ukraine and Liz thought she should get it and the other sister argued with her.
You know how these important things can get out-of-hand.

Lol, remember when the COVID relief bill included gender education programs in Pakistan?

I'd be very leery about sending cash to a corrupt hellhole like Ukraine, most of it will disappear like water poured on sand, and end up in the hands of the very same corrupt elements that caused the original problem.
Ukraine is already a beggar state, I fear it will never end.
We can help with tools, materials, food and medicine in the short run but the sooner they can help themselves, the better.

The Bloomberg editorial page has this take...
"Start Planning the Reconstruction of Ukraine Now"
"A recent estimate from the head of the European Investment Bank put the cost of rebuilding at more than $1 trillion."
To: RandFan
Marshall Plan involved $80 billion in today’s money, for the Belgium, France, Italy, Lux., Netherlands, Norway and U.K.
NOT $600 billion for one country (approx. the size of France)
West Germany was NOT part of the Marshall Plan. Instead, it went free market, and was the biggest success in reconstruction.

That is written as if Russia is eventually going to lose, sooner rather than later.
