Vicenza? Livorno? We were stationed in Naples (Pozzuoli) for three years. Our parents constantly reminded us that Italian drivers don’t necessarily stop for pedestrians.
Of course, in this case, maybe that wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
(I kid, I kid…)
Nice front bumper.
But this front bumper would help clear leftist protester trash from blocking multi-lane highways.
They should have used the banners to hogtie them in pairs.
Get the hinged kind, no chain. And superglue the keyholes before you slap them on.
We lived in Verona. The Army helicopter maintenance base (now defunct) my dad was stationed at was outside of town.
His base was so small it didn’t have a commissary so I remember we used to commute to Vicenza for groceries and to shop at the PX.
Beautiful country......but it coulda been taken better care of. A lot of trash around.....in contrast Germany was always as a pin.
Great memories though.
Those are Real Men. Bravo!
It might be easier with short chain section and combination locks. Add a section of pipe to prevent the use of bolt cutters on the chain or locks.
We stopped in Verona on a summer vacation drive to Garmisch and Munich. We saw the famous balcony. Pretty town.
Fortunately, we had our Commissary/PX and the base in general about five miles from where we lived. Most Saturday mornings we’d go to the PX and I’d spend some of my allowance and babysitting money on a comic book (12 cents) and a candy bar. (A dime.)
And yes, great memories.
“saw the famous balcony”
Yep, I remember that was one of the stops during a school field trip.
Speaking of pretty towns, we did a day trip to Venice. Not that I’m a world traveler or anything but to this day still the most beautiful city I’ve ever seen. It was really something.
Dang, Mr. Tar Baby is a real bad ass up in here.
“However, as the first man was dragging the remaining protesters off the road, the activists he had first removed saw an opportunity and ran back into the middle of the road, and in front of the on-coming traffic - only to sit down again with their banner.”
Solution: Have ‘em in your trunk.
