We may be finally in the end game. Offshoring manufacturing meant the industrial sector that created much of our national wealth, and a upward mobility to a middle class lifestyle is gone. We are the prodigal child who quit his job when receiving a nice inheritance from his grandparents, spent it rapidly, the maxed out his credit in a glorious spending spree. The rapid onset of high inflation and product shortages is the inevitable result. Without a productive growth economy, we will see the standard of living drop rapidly for most Americans.

Hyperinflation will mean the government can’t print money fast enough to support the safety net which has killed the work ethic. Layoffs are beginning in the economy. We are already experiencing accelerating crime which will only get worse as the value of benefits is eroded and no longer adequate to support purchase of necessities in a hyper inflation economy.

Foreign nations are actively working to end the dollar’s reign as the world reserve currency. When we lose reserve currency status we lose the ability to export inflation. Overseas dollars will come home, accelerating inflation in the domestic economy and making the cost of imported products unaffordable.

Lockdowns, incarceration without due process, and denial of basic rights during Covid were a trial run for the oppression needed to shut down social unrest in a collapsing economy. Disarming the population is critical for maintaining order in a society where government rations scarce resources for everyone and determines outcomes. The current push for ending firearm ownership by citizens will not abate and will ultimately be forced by decree as is happening in Canada.

But what about the second amendment? It and the Constitution will not matter. The day is coming when a leftist president with backing of the military and federal bureaucracy will cross the Rubicon and suspend the Constitution by decree in order to restore order during a period of civil unrest. A new modern Constitution will replace the old document written by slaveholders.

I think it’s because fiscal conservatives speak the hard truth and tel folks like it is, even at the most local level.

They’re not afraid to tell voters that if they want a new dog park, that they should start a GoFundMe and build it themselves, where the town/city/county would be happy to donate the land or approve the construction.

The fiscal conservative isn’t afraid to tell the Acme Company that they can’t have millions and millions, sometimes over a billion, in tax breaks no matter how many jobs the company promises.

The person that isn’t a fiscal conservative promises rainbows, unicorns and lollipops. And that’s who the people vote for.

Folks don’t like hearing the bad news, the truth. Everything needs to be sugar coated.

And the local/state/national GOP will do their best to get rid of them. IE President Donald J Trump.

What new programs did President Trump initiate and waste money on?

President Trump wasn’t cost conscious? Except when he had four men renegotiating trade deals as fast as they could so the US didn’t keep getting screwed like it has for decades.

You might be right. You might be wrong. Time will tell.

All it’s going to take is one or two events and we’ll all find out whether you’re right or if the 2A, the Gadsden’s flags, 3%ers, and others will roll over.

Why would you assume I didn’t? 🤣 I could not vote when it started but I can see the obvious parallels between Ukraine and the ramp up to Iraq. You don’t need to be of age to realize that the world is full of fucked up situations and dictators including one right across our border but it is no jus naive but impossible and self destructive to try to fix it all. But instead of dealing with that out leaders decided to go destabilize a region on the other side of the globe. What possible benefit would would screwing around with Iraq have had to America besides enriching some politicians?

I don’t think Americans realize how corrupt out government has become.

Fiscal conservatism is a trap used to demonize conservatives. I am a fiscal conservative, but choosing to die on that hill means just that, you die. When/If people want to talk about government fiscal restraint I will show my hand , the hand I have always had.

The military industrial complex needs their profits! As soon Iraq ended there was immediately some new super important thing on the other side of the world that we must shovel billions into to 🤣

Not sure how people fall for this idiocy over and over.

Keynes would be a improvement. At least he wanted fiscal sanity in good times and a surplus budget. These r’s and d’s are insane.

A 500% increase in the deficit is idiotic. You obviously have no understanding of what it even means to run a multi trillion dollar deficit and the effects it will have on the economy. If that nonsense is the “growth” you want you are a fool. It is an unsustainable path to ruin.

I don’t know what I expected from a population that worships reckless spending with widespread maxed credit cards, payday loans and reverse mortgages. Exploding the deficit obviously will create a false sense of security and economic prosperity just like maxed credit cards, payday loans and reverse mortgages but it is unsustainable. Your love of trump doesn’t change the reality of his reckless spending.

Why would other countries want to prop up and subsidize our reckless spending by using the dollar as a global currency? What benefit is that to them? Would you expect your friends to accept Monopoly money that only you can create? The only one who benefits is America, other countries need to look out for their own interests just like America needs to start doing.

I agree with 90% of what you are saying. The petrol dollar is coming to an end thanks to our own stupid policies. That was in my opinion on if the biggest benefits to the US economy and Indont know where we will be without it

I agree with everything you said except your assertion that trump was a fiscal conservative. He was as reckless and full of BS fake promises as any far left lib. All you need to do is look at the deficit under him to see the truth.

I don’t just oppose cutting our overblown military spending but I’m for destroying the corporate welfare state that is propped up by subsidizing the corporate workforce’s of companies like Walmart.

No one would work minimum wage jobs if they were not subsidized by government. The profits of Walmart and other corporations come largely from the fact there workforce is subsidized by the welfare state. Companies should be paying their own workforces not pocketing profits that come from the fact their employees are paid by the taxpayers.

Who actually benefits from this. This is something I think the left and right should agree on. The left hates billionaire corporations and the right hates the welfare state and wasteful spending.
