It mounts easily and has a tightener that keeps it from rattling. Plus it folds up or down when not in use. Mine is a Sherpa.

When I was heading out (took the picture returning) there was a young couple painting those faces.
Guess which one the guy and gal were doing?

The girl did the one on the right.
Make of that what you will.

Started last night at Tempelhof Sportsfield (used to be the airport) with Compagnie Off a french performance group. They rolled out wheels with colored lights that looped around in the crowd. Then the Mother Wheel, which was already out on the grass, lit up. It raised a hundred feet into the air as the smaller wheels joined it. All that happened while club music was played on huge speakers. I didn't ride my bike there because my wife wanted to go - but she doesn't ride so we took the bus.
Today, after the classical music show, I rode through the Brandenburg Gate to the Victory Column, made a left and rode past the Mexican Embassy while heading home.
90 Days 90 Events. FREE and outdoors. All over Berlin!
Berlin’s never had a festival like this before. At the waterside, in parks, between skyscrapers, on museum grounds and city streets: the 90 partners contributing to the Kultursommerfestival will transform various sites into stages, screens and dance floors — in every neighborhood and for all Berliners and guests. The Kultursommerfestival is part of the DRAUSSENSTADT urban culture initiative and will kick off on 18 June 2022 at the former Tempelhof Airport with a big open-air celebration that will include music, foods & drinks and a light show featuring artists from the Burning Man Festival.
I made a short video at the end of the Compagnie Off show. It is hard to see but there is a man up there holding a red flare. They were at the Burning Man show in America so the concept probably comes from that.
There is much rain today however.

Bebelplatz is where the Nazis were burning books. I noticed I was standing on a plaque that marks it. Which I had never seen before because it is small and a bit off to the side. Quote says: This was a foreshadowing of what happens when books are burned. In the end people will burn.
Was a great show with much gratitude and love. They played clips of the Eurovision Song winner. I wished they played the whole song with this video on the big screen but that did not happen. Today is the longest day of the year - Have A Good One!

A few days ago I stopped on a bridge to take this picture of the Sun going down. Then I searched where there are good places to be at sunset and Drachenberg (Dragon Mountain) was mentioned because there are no trees on the plateau - so you get a good view. I realized that was on the way I like to go to Strandbad Wannsee.
I stopped in Tiergarten for a banana and you can believe I let the sprinkler hit me a couple of times both stopping and going.
Drachenberg
On the way to Dragon Mountain I took this picture which I thought was fitting.
Strandbad Wannsee
I crossed six lanes of heavy traffic to take this picture.
Before I left home my wife told me to enjoy my bicycle ride. I told her I was not going out on a just a bicycle ride but a bicycle odyssey. Never tell someone you are going on a bicycle odyssey when using google maps because it could very well put you on one. I used google maps for the ride home from Strandbad Wannsee and it swung me too far north, especially considering I wanted to go from SW Berlin to SE Berlin.
I made a GoPro video of the ride from Drachenberg down through Grunewald (forest) to Strandbad Wannsee. But the video got stuck uploading at 27% over night and now is at 47%. I made another video going home from the beach till the battery ran-out. I don't think that is a good video because I hit many red lights (as if the bicycle odyssey wasn't enough).
On the beach near my blanket there was a pretty topless woman to my right and another to the left. They arrived after I did. Just saying.

Got home and I still wanted to ride so I made a tasty sandwich for the park. Of course I still passed the graffiti wall:

There were two surprises when I returned...
First, some weeks ago my wife entered a contest to win 100 euro voucher for a Turkish food store that turns out she won and so ordered food which was delivered soon after I got back. We now have a refrigerator full of good Turkish food stuff.
Second, some weeks ago I told my wife I want to see Two Steps From Hell who play this Sunday night. When I got home and after the food arrived she told me to check my email because she sent me a copy of something. So I looked and it was two free Tickets to pick-up for the show! She used her connections from previous work days to get them.

Here is the video of the ride from the beach when I hit many red lights:

Some months ago I had to replace my chain because it got stretched and the new chain made a big difference.

How is that for development?!
KUAT makes the best hitch rack around. Pricey but I’d your bike costs as much as mine it’s worth it.
Thx, just bought the Sherpa from REI.
That’s what I have. Has a great locking cable too.
delivered today, is there much assembly?
No, just some one bolts. There is a video on the website I think. I leave mine on my truck all the time. It’s very easy to fold down and still use the tail gait.
Thx, it appears to have a locking mechanism to the hitch, I like that.
