Hopefully there is video of the lady getting gored! I mean 10 feet in the air!
Haha - yep, I’d guess that is exactly why. It’s similar to women welcoming rapefugees from Islamic countries. What could go wrong?
She gots to be a liberal. Nobody’s that stupid. Cept mebbe the grizzly man?
It’s about the only thing you can do with some people - because they won’t listen to anyone when they set their mind to some stupid action.
A good video for investigating authorities and potentially litigious surviving family members is actually helpful.
A lot of the signs are pictograms too - so the ‘way out west’ visitors don’t have excuses as well. They seem to be the main perps I’ve witnessed doing this sort of thing.
It cost her her life. This story says she died.

I was fishing on the edge of a pond in northern NH, about 10 miles from the Canadian border when a pair of moose walked out of the bush about 40’ away.
The issue was my pickup truck was about 100 feet away and the two moose came out of a stream/ditch between me and the truck. The other issue was it was a mother moose and a yearling calf. I froze, and just continued to fish. I was thinking if I ran into the pond it would be worse than being on land. The two wondered away and I never saw them again. However, there was about two minutes where I did not know what I was going to do.
“This is the first reported incident in 2022 of a visitor threatening a bison (getting too close to the animal) and the bison responding to the threat by goring the individual,”
I’m tickled the park service described this as a “threat to the animal”, and not vice-versa. It’s the animal’s “house”, and house rules should be followed. Failure to do so leads to punishment.
We need to send social workers to talk to the buffalo.
Maybe a teacher to disarm it too.
People are under the illusion if an animal looks funny or cute, it’s somehow safe to approach. Moose look funny and cute, as do buffalo. A hippo looks quite funny with its fat body and little rounded ears. “
Personification of animals in TV and movies helped create this mindset.
Your stats attempt to paint the cow and horse as the ones what killed Ol’ Bert Brambly, but folks around here know it was the chicken whut dunnit.
When are they going to pass a law outlawing “assault Bison”.
From the video... “the woman was identified as a 72 year old from California”.
“nuff said. :)
Natural selection.
People who think National Parks are the same thing as going to Disneyland really make me laugh.
72-year-old from CA ignores warning signs “Do Not Approach Wildlife.”
It would have been more effective to just make Californians submit the to the same onerous paperwork/process they require for Americans to purchase guns to enter Yellowstone.
“For their own protection.”
It's also sad and alarming that people are this stupid, and allowed to vote.
Something similar happened to me, fortunately no mother was involved. It was at Yellowstone while eating lunch at a picnic table a large bison came out of the woods and walked only feet behind me off into a field. I did not move at all.
