I love the entire album, A Kiss in the Dreamhouse
Almost everyone you mentioned had their biggest influence more than 50 years ago. Time marches on, and “influence” is a not exactly objective. For example I could make the claim that “Joy Division” was one of the most influential alternative bands, and many (particularly artists) would agree, while others would say “never heard of them”.
“Siouxsie Sioux is one of the most important musicians of the past 50 years.”
Good grief.
I always thought someone else should take over what MTV abandoned; Just play music.
Loved the 80’s progressive scene. I thought Concrete Blonde (Dance Along the Edge etc) reminded me of Siouxsie. I just looked her up and she turned 65. I’m getting old
VH 1 Classic did for a while but then they also disappeared after becoming an 80s movies rerun channel.
There’s a secondary MTC channel now that has blocks of the old classics but there’s also a LOT of rap crap mixed in.
When I feel like watching it I’ll hit pause on DIRECTV and then come back after a while so I can FF through the stuff I hate.
:)
Don Jamieson of That Metal Show met my Boa, Pinky, at a biker event one year.
Hadn’t listened to Siouxsie in years. Unique talent. Was never sure if her voice was meant to contain lyrical meaning or was just meant as another instrument in the band.
Theme song for Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, etc.
Christine, Kiss Them For Me, I’m the Passenger, Cities in Dust, Party’s Fall, Candyman, 92 Degrees, The Happy House, Out By The Sea.
Bawlmer.
:)
Washington, DC.
That one went without saying.
:D
