The American Diabetes Association (ADA) released new research on March 22, 2018 estimating the total costs of diagnosed diabetes have risen to $327 billion in 2017 from $245 billion in 2012, when the cost was last examined.

dunno about all of that, but what I find interesting... well, maybe I should use the word “Noticeable” are the truly lazy fat asses over the still somewhat active fat asses... the Lazy Fat asses have a defined Flat Spot, clearly a sign of the Fat literally grew while sitting down. like someone took a 2 X 12 and swung it very fast to whack that ass!! leaving a flat spot at almost a precise 45 degree angle!!

There is no such thing as “unhealthy” food as long as it is vegan, fair trade, and purchased from the race of the food’s origin.Yes, I know it is satire. Yes, I know it is a joke, but this line is so triggering to me personally. Half of the foods I eat as a Texan would be gone if I had to purchase it from a representative of the race who originated it. And which race originated chili, wither real chili or the stew with beans, as Sheldon so emphatically proved.

This is what happened to me. Hurt my back pretty bad and haven’t been able to walk like I use to or ride my bike. I have gained 50 pounds in the 5 years since. I try to watch what I eat and cut back on the calories but not being able to exercise is not letting me lose the weight. Of course I am almost 70 so my body tends to hurt all over if I do too much. But I keep on trying. My yearly blood tests show me in great health chemically. Muscles, not so much!

Maybe this is satire, but obesity is a far worse national problem than “fat phobia”.
The US obesity prevalence was 41.9% in 2017. From 1999 –2000 through 2017 US obesity prevalence increased from 30.5% to 41.9%. During the same time, the prevalence of severe obesity increased from 4.7% to 9.2%. [CDC May 17, 2022]
