Or Ripple. High school graduation night - almost makes me queasy to recall it.

The only alcohol my mother would drink. She was not a drinker.

Mateus, lol. That was the good stuff.

I don't know about the good, but it was present at many memorable moments.

Released as a single early on, but in the U.S. it was included on the debut Hendrix album ‘Are You Experienced?’, which IMO is the greatest debut album in rock history.

In Britain there was an unwritten policy by some record companies of not including songs that were released as singles prior to an album being finished, so the song wasn’t on ‘Experienced’ in the UK. The Beatles had intended the songs ‘Penny Lane’ and ‘Strawberry Fields’ to be included on ‘Sgt. Peppers’ but they were left off due to the fact they had been released as singles prior to ‘Pepper’ being finished (too bad, the two songs would have made it a much better album).

Strawberry Hill was nasty. Three bottles of Boone’s Farm Apple would do for me when I was about 17, and I’d hardly ever puke.

I would pound Molson Ice and the girls drank Boone’s Farm.
Occasionally the guys would drink 40’s of Olde English.
This was about 1996.

Plenty of guys drank Boone’s Farm back around 1972, not just the girls. And everybody drank beer. Hard liquor wasn’t that common for some reason, perhaps because Oregon had state-run liquor stores while any store sold beer and wine.

Electric Ladyland is one of the top 5 rock/pop albums of all time.

And has held up better than most.
