"Moscow says it hopes to seize all of the southeastern city of Mariupol soon, which would make it the first large city it has captured. The Black Sea port, home to 400,000 people before the war, has been reduced to rubble by seven weeks of siege and bombardment,
with tens of thousands of people trapped inside."
There are only about 1000 Azov fighters in Mariupol, and it has taken tens of thousands of Russians weeks to take the city.
We ran into similar issues in Mosul. Only a few thousand ISIS fighters, but it took almost a year to retake the city, and that required levelling it.
Urban combat is brutal and unpleasant stuff.
You’re off by a factor of 14.
There were 14,000 Ukraine govt aligned troop at the start of combat. You talk as if there was only Azov there, that isn’t close to true
oh sorry make that 3500.
The citizens of Mariupol seem to be fairly certain who has destroyed their city, and it ain’t the Russians. It’s the cute lil Nottsies.
You contend that Russia is not destroying Mariupol?
Ask the survivors of Mariupol. So far I’ve only seen one single reporter on the ground there for several years.

This guy has been reporting in the area for years
That guy has been a Russian propagandist for years. If you have been following his “reporting” then you can’t miss how all his lies (like his crazy MH-17 stories) get exposed in time. He lives and moves together with the Russian military and their “deniable” mercenaries just putting out ridiculous Russian propaganda.
You really have to work hard to get fooled by him.
That guy has been going to Russia-initiated combat sites and interviewing KGB stooges posing as citizens for something like 10 years now.
The CIA is up working the sites early this morning.....
Zelensky tells CNN (the CIA station) Ukraine has only lost 3 thousand troops!
Patrick is apparently aligned with the DPR militia which tries to defend the area from the Azov battalion and other neo-Nazi groups mainly using weapons and equipment it receives from Ukrainian Army deserters.
There is no proof that Russian soldiers were assisting residents in the Donbass against the Ukrop surreptitiously. But since when does a lack of evidence stop the pro-Ukrainians here from insinuating otherwise? It’s the textbook definition of propaganda and Ukraine has been putting it out nonstop since February.
Yeah. You’re a fucking idiot.
Probably incurable.
He is pro-Russian and interviews pro-Russians in the area as all the those who are Ukrainian have fled. The remainder want to join Russian.
So when you can’t debate the facts like an adult, you resort to ad hominem attacks. I sure struck a nerve though. 🤣
He’s in the Donbass. Most of the population there is pro Russian and voted for autonomy from Ukraine. So you only believe reporters interviewing ppl living in Kiev or western Ukraine are unbiased and truthful? Give me a break, FFS!
I wonder why VOA never mentioned the 1000 Ukrainian soldiers holed up in the Ilyich factory for weeks who just gave themselves up to the Russian Army. Of course, if I wanted accurate news about Ukraine, the last place I’d go is the CIA backed VOA. 🤣
.
Pootie fans are ridiculous, even Putin has admitted there are Russian soldiers in Donbas.
Give me a break, FFS!

No break for you and your FSB buddies. Russia has no side but their own. They had no justification for any of their “maneuvers” in that region - other than establishing some version of a Russian empire. You back and support mass murderers. So no breaks. Just pile on.
Everything you’re saying is irrelevant to the fact that I just stated about this YouTuber. How does this guy afford to travel with other known Russian propagandists and report pro-Russia news in Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, and Ukraine? This is an FSB operation. You are a useful idiot.
