Did someone make a phone call?
"I made an offer
Will endeavor to keep as many shareholders in privatized Twitter as allowed by law"
Elon Musk Twitter

“Elon Musk has been bumped off the perch as Twitter’s largest shareholder: Asset manager Vanguard Group recently upped its stake in the social-media platform and now owns 82.4 million shares of Twitter, or 10.3% of the company.”

Twitter is currently helping to destroy America.
Perhaps some don’t want that to stop by allowing actual free speech.

As long as Elon Musk gets the twitterites’ panties in a twist, not seeing how that’s a bad thing.

Gee, it would be a shame if he only got 51% and saved a bunch of money, wouldn’t it?

Elon should cash out at a profit and start his own social network.
The Freedom Network sounds good.

Naw. Let it rot.
I can’t wait to see if Musk will announce something stunning as to its alternative in the coming days.

Once an internet system achieves ‘network effect’ and ‘market power’ it’s nearly impossible for a new entrant to dislodge them. Money alone can’t overcome those advantages. This is why we haven’t seen any serious rivals to Facebook or Amazon or Twitter and it’s unlikely that we will. Musk knows this, and it’s why he is going after Twitter.

MySpace was once the default social network but then Facebook sent it into obscurity.

Vanguard might face some investor lawsuits for not grabbing that huge profit. Someone will find a route.
