These people are as bad as people who put leaves or some object over private parts. I thought the viewer of a painting is suppose to make his own opinion about what is being conveyed. This painting is one of my favorites from Manet. To give some historical context, barmaids at that time often had a 2nd job in the world's oldest profession so the man could be an arrangement with her.

Some people are just too delicate for the cruel real world and should be locked up for their own protection. The rest of us just order a drink.

Looks like the necklace and floral centerpiece are specifically designed to draw one’s gaze away from her face and towards her “unmentionables”. Just don’t get caught being human!
