We get grocery store flyers and coupons every Tues, the day before store’s weekly specials begin (on Weds).
The grands were over the other day and I was reading through the flyers....they’d never seen one before....lol. It was a great teaching moment!
I guess most people (including my own kids, probably) pitch them straight into the trash. 😂
I will admit that there’s not much to look at, prices/deal wise, these days.

Before the federal government became involved in financing medical care and college education they were both more or less affordable to average wage earners.
When LBJ signed Medicare into law federal government money began pouring into the medical industry and medical costs skyrocketed to the point they became
unaffordable for anyone without access to government paid care or costly private medical insurance.
Expansion of the universe covered by Medicare and the creation of Medicaid drove costs even higher.
Now the federal government controls who gets government assistance for medical care and who doesn't.
Favored political victim groups like P.O.C. and illegal aliens get a free ride. Those not favored pay their own way, either in part or totally.
Over the years the federal government has gradually been making similar moves into the "college education industry". And as government money began to pour into
colleges tuition costs have also skyrocketed as they did with medical care.
Now the federal government is preparing to advance from just guaranteeing college loans to flat-out paying off loans for moochers, freeloaders and deadbeats.
This will complete the cycle and the federal government will gain effective control of the "college education industry" as it has done with the medical care industry.
