The problem is not with “government.” The problem is voters who continue to elect idiots / imbeciles / morons / Communists / socialists / lefties / Democrats / liberals into positions of power. And the people they elect are typically ideologues who have done nothing useful or meaningful in their private lives (the Squad, Schumer, Newsom, Pelosi, Biden). They are, indeed, citizens elected to represent their constituents. However, they are the wrong citizens. And once elected, they pretty much are intoxicated with power, so they stay there for decades, destroying our country.
