That was very interesting. He's a complex character with some very negative behaviors in his wake, but his intelligence is leading him to greater awareness. Hope he takes the red pill soon.

Almost always when one sticks a categorical adjective in front of the word “marriage” one is talking about something other than a marriage - that would include “open”, “trial”, “child”, “forced”, “plural”, “gay”, as examples. The one exception (there may be others of that sort) I would acknowledge: “mixed”, which could have several implications depending on context.
