Thank you! My grandfather had a pilot’s license (he built his own aircraft, way back when :>), and a brother was in the Air National Guard his entire career, but my personal knowledge of the airline industry is pretty close to zero...

First rule. If the plane is acting weird turn automated stuff off Unfortunately, as Asiana Airlines Flight 214 showed, some flight crews rely so much on automated features that they have a hard time reverting to manual flight.
