As of 19 March 2022, the "official" Johns Hopkins University's Coronavirus Resource Center claims 970,806 Covid deaths since January of 2020, about twenty-seven months.

( 970,806 / 334,294,730 population ) x 100 = 0.29 % mortality rate. The mortality rate for any single twelve month period within this span would be lower by about half.
Complaints about calculating the actual mortality have been that the denominator was wrong, the data incorrect and so on. The dictionary definition of the mortality rate is properly " the incidence of deaths in a given population during a defined time period (such as one year)." The above "twenty-seven month" mortality is higher than a proper calculation would be. The pandemic has been a media-amplified scam, and the Communist Chinese and a few pharmaceutical company allies have benefited hugely from Western nations locking their own economies down.

Surprise, surprise, surprise!
It seems absurd that the CDC is changing what it’s counting as a cause of death without autopsies confirming the change. In other words, was a co-morbidity responsible, or the action of CoVID? This ‘adjustment’ is being made without the science of pathology being applied via autopsies to confirm.
