Would help to know whether the eaglet is male or female..Ava is appropriate name for female birdie, as it means flight.

Since the chick’s gender is not known, a name that isn’t gender specific would work best, organizers said.That is ridiculous in the extreme. If the eaglet gets an incorrect name assigned, just have the eaglet identify as the other gender. Or, better yet, just assign the opposite gender to the eaglet matching it’s assigned name. Problem solved.
What sort of troglodyte thinking are they teaching these kids?
