No problem. I’m seeing high gas prices, like other Americans, high food prices. None of this has anything to do with what is going on half a world away in a place with a long and bloody history and a part of the world most Americans have never heard of.

The account I’m thinking of was after they had landed back at the main base and the wounded are brought in and the reporter is using them as props.
One of the heroes at Ia Drang came to the call again on 9-11. Rick Rescorla. He worked as head of security for one of the big firms in the towers. After the bomb attack in the basement he and some other vets brain-stormed on how to ramp up security.
They all agreed that the terrorists would go for something bigger next time. They came up with the idea that they would fly airliners into the buildings!
Rick trained his company on evacuating the building. Training alarms, etc. When everyone else was told to shelter in place, Rick already had his people heading down the stairways.
He was last seen going back up the stairs after his people had escaped so he could help other floors.
