Germany spent 10+ years of everything they had to make for war. Russia has not.

The Russian weapons factories in Tula do not have the materials to make the munitions needed resupply the troops fighting in Ukraine. Supply chain issues just like everywhere

And the remaining munitions factories in Germany supplying Russia can’t get the supplies they need and if they did, they still can’t resupply Russia because of the sanctions.

Putin’s generals told him they could take all of Ukraine in 3 days. Big flop by Putin and his generals.

Putin is in the Urals raging at his generals right now because they told him that all they had to do was take Karkiv and the rest of Ukraine will capitulate.

I think that the actual quote was: "We have only to kick down the door, and the whole rotten edifice will collapse!"

Famous last words - sound familiar?

There is a quote from WWI, author of whom I cannot remember, that said:

“Finance has never stopped a war in progress.”

There is no evidence at all that the Russians suffer from ammo shortage. There will certainly be food shortage soon within Kiev.

Putin’s generals told Putin all sorts of things, none of which you have any information concerning.

My worry isn't over Russia, it's China, and what Xi has up his sleeve.

What Xi has up his sleeve? A scroll with the title "Plans for 2075."

The Chinese play the "Long Game."

Their missile attacks have been pretty tame. The US would have fired thousands in the first few hours; Russia has fired a few hundred. They haven’t deployed their heavy stuff. Why?

I think they were hoping for a fast capitulation. They aren't interested in destroying Ukraine, just controlling it.

This could be one of the biggest miscalculations in modern history.

The most crushing reality is most people on planet Earth do not oppose this Russian action. China and India both refused to vote for a UNSC resolution condemning.

The international community clearly blames the US and NATO.

Hitler’s came to power in 1933. He invaded Poland in 1939. That’s six years. But yeah, they were prepping. On the other hand, Hitler was shocked when England and France declared war over Poland. That’s the problem with war, the unexpected often results.

In any case, Germany was punching above its weight. The gamble didn’t work out.

About 50% of all material used by the Red Army in WW2 was from the US or Britain

Indeed! We shipped more U.S-built vehicles to the Soviet Union than were in existence at that time in the U.K.!

“Russia will be out of ordinance for Ukraine war in less than a week.“

I doubt that very much. While they may run low do to logistics, they will not be out of ordanance.

If I recall correctly, in early WWI, Russia was producing 35k artillery shells a month, which sounds pretty good. Until you find they were firing 45k a day. Everyone ran through their reserves quite quickly but production can always be ramped up.

Plus the fighting today is not heavy fighting historically, and the burn rate for the whole episode so far does not touch one day of heavy fighting in any of the great wars.

marcusmaximus : "Russia will be out of ordinance for Ukraine war in less than a week. No logistics planning by Putin and his generals. Putin is in the Urals raging at his generals right now because they told him that all they had to do was take Karkiv and the rest of Ukraine will capitulate. Big fail by Putin."

JoSixChip: "Good God you people are delusional."

I think marxistmaximus forgot that Ukraine boarders Russia/Belarus. The length of the supply line from Belarus to Kiev is under 70 miles and from Russia to Kiev is 125 miles. The idiot thinks they have to resupply over an entire continent.

Try reading a map marxistmaximus.

Should have been done under Linoln. All those here whining how he was a “tyrant” don’t know the meaning of the word. A real tyrant would have declared ALL Confederates traitors and banned the DemoKKKrat Party as a terrorist org as you suggest.
