Kit Carson and John Fremont were early explorers of Northern California and Southern Oregon. They mapped and documented the area and were influential throughout the west in the 1850s. The local city park bearing the name of Kit Carson must have its name changed due to rumors of some inappropriate (by today's standards) behavior. The City of Klamath Falls (Oregon) needs some inoffensive perfectly-politically-correct suggestions for new names.
Earlier article about Kit and the park's now controversial name: https://www.heraldandnews.com/news/local_news/rethinking-kit-carsons-complicated-history/article_0aceca45-01dd-542e-b3fe-15af37d0665e.html

The City Council of the City of Klamath Falls has directed the Parks Advisory Board to move forward with the renaming of Kit Carson Park process.
Liberals should be dealt a blow by folks in Oregon.
Kit Carson is a hero.

Carson married an Arapaho Indian woman named Waa-Nibe. After she died, he married a Cheyenne woman, named Making-Our-Road. Because of his long trips as a trapper and a guide for explorer John C. Fremont, his wife became unsatisfied with the marriage and ended it.
Carson then married Maria Josefa Jaramillo, 15, a Hispanic women of New Mexico, who died from compilations after giving birth to her 8th child. How could he do wrong?

I live in the Carson Valley, Nevada. Flowing near me is the Carson River. To the west of me is the Carson Range. To the north is Carson City the capitol of Nevada. Wonder if things will change.

Just wait until the activists discover that Carson City, the capital of Nevada, isn’t named after Johnny.
