Nah, it’s not normal. Maybe there are 6 on a really big year. I think the problem is that so many films delayed release in 2020 that 2021 is basically a double year.
We saw the new one the other night and we’re interested to comparing the original.
My wife put that one on the TV and it was as sucky a movie as I have ever seen out of the corner of my eye. She didn’t like it either even though she has a high tolerance for stupid in movies.
We went to see the Cmon Cmon with joaquin phoenix about some stupid bratty kid with asburgers syndrom. He was basically a spoiled brat and asburgers was invented for mothers to protect their spoiled brats from the reality of society. It was all about how the guy had to apologize to the kid after the kid did the kind of stuff that got me spanked when I did it. I turned out fine without any understanding from my parents or society. It’s all about taking responsibility.
It wasn’t on my list to watch, but sounds extremely bad, so it will probably win.
I have actually seen two of the best picture nominees.
I must be slipping.
They may as well send Kristen Stewart her Oscar, cause she’s a lesbo, you know.

I've seen none of the movies. Haven't heard of most of them. Really haven't even heard of many of the actors.
I wonder how much of this is covid stuff - not going out as much, that sort of thing - and how much is that I've just disconnected from popular culture.
It's probably the second reason. I was mildly surprised to learn the Super Bowl is this weekend. I don't even know who is playing.
Yeah not much difference is there....they actually are really the same entity aren’t they.
I told the survey people already I wasn’t going to watch. lol
The awards shows are all polling very badly.
I saw it on TCM but it’s available for free on youtube. From the description I didn’t think I would really like it. But once it started I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. But I really like old film noirs.
