I actually prefer Arlo G's version, but prefer Steve Goodman in all other ways. Saw him live once, opening act for Steve Martin, Lansing Civic Center, mid-1970s, first show.

How does music work? What did an Ancient Greek philosopher have to do with it? Why did he keep drowning people?
Discover the answers to these questions and more as we take a tour through musical tuning systems, examining how the power of mathematics has helped us build and rebuild our methods of creating music throughout history. Pythagorean tuning, the Pythagorean comma, equal temperament - learn what these are and how they shaped the way we make music today.
I created this video as part of a mathematics communication module at university, so would really appreciate your feedback. Leaving a comment or filling in the survey linked above would be perfect. Note your answers will be recorded and used in an evaluative report. How Pythagoras Broke Music (and how we kind of fixed it)

How does order spontaneously arise out of chaos?
An enormous thanks to Prof. Steven Strogatz — this video would not have been possible without him. Much of the script-writing was inspired and informed by his wonderful book Sync, and his 2004 TED talk. He is a giant in this field, and has literally written the book on chaos, complexity, and synchronization. It was hard to find a paper in this field that Steven (or one of his students) didn't contribute to. His Podcast "The Joy of X" is wonderful...The Surprising Secret of Synchronization | March 31, 2021 | Veritasium
When not performing on popular Hollywood productions such as The Walking Dead, The Hunger Games and The Vampire Diaries, actor Jeff Glover, 49, likes to wander around supermarkets in Atlanta, GA and steal the splotlight in a very different way.
Taking telephones attached to the supermarket speakers, Jeff places the receivers behind his back, and lets rip.
Jeff's comical "farts" have caused the actor's TikTok page to go viral as people can't get enough his his flatulence performance.
Jeff said: "It makes my daughter laugh. Most people have said I’m the best thing that’s happened in 2020 and enjoy the humor.Guy 'Farts' Into Supermarket Speakers | 1,749,415 views | Sepember 14, 2020 | Caters Clips

"White Bird" was written in December 1967, in Seattle, Washington. Manager Matthew Katz had moved the band there to polish their act at a small Seattle ballroom before booking them into San Francisco nightclubs. Living in the attic of a Victorian house across the street from Volunteer Park, the band had inadequate food and no transportation during a dreary Seattle winter. The song evolved from the depression of the band's circumstances and yearning to be free. The song's repeated chorus is, "White bird must fly or she will die."It's A Beautiful Day | White Bird 1967 HQ
