Arthur Koestler’s Rubashov in Darkness at Noon experienced a profound pardigm shift and consequent change of attitude, just before the communists shot him. But I don’t think Alec Baldwin is a committed communist like Koestler’s Rubashov, or David Horowitz, just a fashionable fop, who follows intellectual fashion like any other fashion, and therefore cannot seriously be said to have an epiphany, or a paradigm shift, because he has no intellectual or moral core. He can’t even take responsibility for the death of another human being. What would help him? Acquiring that core. Maybe suing him will help move him in that direction.

Either way, the baby boy could use some help growing up without a daddy.

“The act or an instance of open revolt against civil authority or a constituted government.”

Right-THAT’S Portland right there

I don’t think the dictionary’s definition is what Baldwhine meant. He called the family “insurrectionists,” meaning people committed to insurrection as a policy, or acting on a regular basis to perpetrate instances in open revolt against civil authority. Why? Because they were in DC on 1/6. Therefore, they participated in activities which led to destruction of federal property, even though there is no proof that they destroyed any themselves. They committed insurrection in their hearts, a thought crime.

So Bald-whine is both committing slander and totalitarian thought which could lead to totalitarian oppression.

It’s no more a payoff than if Baldwin had stolen her bicycle or automobile. In this instance, he stole her reputation.

My two cents: He has Narcissistic Personality Dis order combined with an inability to control his rage. Historically, there is little to no hope that folks with NPD get help. He truly is a sick man.

Don’t most of the thespian profession suffer from varying degrees of NPD? Otherwise, they’d likely have a different profession!

I don’t lose much sleep over his spiritual or psychological well-being. I got a teenage son who worries me more. He can pound rocks, and pay up when he’s sued, same as WaPo did to Sandman.
