Ha! 10 years after that, I saw REM for free there IN THE DAYTIME at the Piedmont Arts Festival.
Check E-Bay, maybe?
I forget who it was who sent his people out for those great black session guys in Muscle Shoals, needed them on the next album. “Er, yeah, they’re not black!”
I’m about four miles due south
I live on a road named for men subordinate to their women which allegedly is because the civil war confederate widows owned the plantations and the farms left when remarried held the juice
I’m around 2-3000 yards due south of Carnton House ...I can see the roof of it from my upstairs ..
We’re selling off to the Kalifornians ...plan to move to the sw corner of Williamson county....much more remote and land while way up is more affordable ...30,000 an acre for hilly ....my pasture land ..8 acres now is crazy money
I’ve got a freshman in local high school grandfathered ...if we stay in county
Likely to build a barnhouse
I’ve got horses...and two large unclipped Rotts
It’s going to be an adventure at 64
I have to survive my wife surviving the move if that makes sense
We go to that little club
I think Robert Plant and Frampton and Brett Michaels etc hit that place on occasion
Michaels has hit on my wife a lot....he used to hang at Red Pony bar here when we were there for the old bar tender who is close to us he and his rib.
He’s moved out to a quant bar further out ....similar clientele
Williamson is a great place to raise kids but it’s stupid money
I could not buy in now where I am now....I bought 11 years ago at one third what it is now...
Thought you were down there. I pass thru Nashville a lot going to see family, but know nothing of that side of town. Maybe later this year I’ll find time to come up on one of those Weds, check out Kimbro’s, and meet some FReepers.
Ha, people were complaining about us moving in from Nashvville in 1999. Franklin may have had 30,000 then.
Double that plus in 23 years. Wild.
Forgot to ping you on above post.
“Three of the five members of Buffalo Springfield were Canadians.”
Yeah, but no one remembers Bruce Palmer or Dewey Martin. (I know who they were, because I liked the band.) Stephen Stills and Richie Furay were, of course, American; as was Jim Messina, who joined later. But the fact is, Buffalo Springfield was formed in Los Angeles, which does make it an American band.
Well now THAT sure was the wrong link to Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett with Duane Allman. Coffee- too much! Not freakin’ Evelyn Farka@@.
