• Lee Iacocca, who made the decision to let people die rather than implement a fix that would have cost as little as $1, never paid a penalty for his actions. He went on to become the chairman of Chrysler, a business celebrity in the 1980s, and publish multiple bestselling books.
If you ever wonder if corporations will kill you for money, this man did it--and even got away with it. The elite protect their own.
Ford Pinto? Bought a new one in 1970 when they first came out after graduating college. Had the piece of crap 10 months before unloading it for a bug. Great car. Then traded it in for a Ford Maverick. Another 10 month wonder piece of crap. Then Iacocca moved to Chrysler. I started buying Dodges. Also, pieces of crap. I guess I never learn. Love Iacocca as a superior marketeer (after all, he sold me), but hate his cars. lol
Almost every line in that Article was a lie, and has been proven to be a hoax. This is an advertisement by a law firm of Ambulance Chasers.
After driving American cars most of my life, my first Toyota was an eye opener.
I’m still driving it 16 years later. I can’t understand why I haven’t had to replace the alternator, starter, belts, water pump, ball joints, etc. two or three times like with American made cars. I thought they were SUPPOSED to go out every 50,000 miles or so. Hell, it’s still running on the original spark plugs. Are they made out of titanium? I don’t get it...
Wife, son, daughter, and son in law all driving Toyotas now.
Screw you Detroit!
