Give me tornadoes any day over an earthquake. Never been in one, don’t want to be.

I'll never forget the Virginia earthquake of 2011. I was living in Alexandria. I was home with my wife and baby granddaughter, when all the pots in the kitchen came crashing to the floor. My wife grabbed the baby and we ran outside.

Upgraded to 6.6 mag . If the depth of the quake had been 10 km like the 6.8’s we had in Kumamoto two days in a row six years back here in Kumamoto there would have been much destruction and death . This one was 40km depth . Big difference .
