That’s not really accurate. Kiev is threatening to try to conquer the Donbass and Crimea. We are arming and training them for it. Our warships routinely sail within two or three miles off the Crimean coast, claiming that we got permission from Kiev. We tried to launch color revolutions in Belarus and Kazakhstan in the last two or three months. We just spend several years trying to overthrow their ally in Syria with ISIS/FSA and demand they back out.
So congrats, we have finally convinced them we are hostile and aggressive. And when they complained, we rushed weapons to Ukraine to make the point that yes we are.
So soon, we will probably see missiles in Cuba again as they try to illustrate for us what they are saying.
Meanwhile China runs wild, the border is wide open, crime is rampant, shelves are empty, and our economy is in free fall. That is the crisis.
NATO isn’t a military unit.
Shallow thinkers like him populated the Obama, Trump and now Biden admins. They have pushed Russian into a military alliance with China. Their combined power exceeds ours and the gap will only grow from here.
The stupidest possible geopolitical maneuver they have accomplished.

Reagan wanted a “Marshall Plan” for Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union, and to woo Russia into the fold.
Instead the Bush and Clinton Administrations decided to dance on the grave of the former Soviet Union, which only served to alienate them.

I hope you are right. They act so irresponsibly that it’s hard to tell. Maybe they “just”!want a return to a Cold War they can profit from personally, with sweet jobs or at least by being taken seriously.
Use of US forces should only be used if clearly in the best interests of the USA period….

This is what happens when regional conflicts become proxy fights between Superpowers. If the West just stayed out of it, by now the Ukrainians and Russians may have worked out a solution. Once outsiders get involved, the whole dynamic changes.

They have been trying to purge the military of conservatives for a year now.
A war would allow Biden to distract the military, to get them out of the country.
Biden would then have a free hand to act against his domestic opponents.

Russia isn't going to invade Ukraine. I've watched a few YouTubers from and in Ukraine and they aren't worried about A Russian invasion. It's all propaganda on our end.
We fomented a revolution in 2014. Soros was heavily involved, meeting with the incoming President. Then, we proceeded to use Ukraine to pester Russia. Russia wasn't going to allow Ukraine to cut off its access to the Black Sea so it annex Crimea with the full consent of its residents, which were overwhelmingly pro-Russian.
Of course, Biden is making an issue out of all of this to distract from his failures. I doubt he wants to send troops to Ukraine, But he wants the media to cover this bogus story.
