She and Maynard were what I remembered from the show. Have you ever seen the movie I Walk the Line, with Weld and Gregory Peck? Great movie, with Peck portraying middle aged southern sheriff throwing marriage, career and freedom away for a moonshiner’s teenage daughter, Weld. Yeah, I could see that happening to me with a young Tuesday Weld.

There was a “Road Picture” Bob did with Bing Crosby where at the end of the film the cast is floating on a raft, lost at sea .. . cut to a close up of Bob going insane, “NO food .. . no water .. . We’re gonna DIE .. . we’re gonna DIE !”
Camera pulls back to a wide shot of the raft with the skyline of Manhattan in the background. Crosby tells Hope to relax - they’re saved ! Hope snaps, “I FINALLY get a decent line in this picture and YOU louse it up for me !”
It was many, many years ago, perhaps coincident with Tucker’s previous work at CNN or MSNBC, and probably was a reference to his youthful, preppy appearance & bowtie. Back then, I had heard his name, but knew little of his ideology, so I won’t speculate on that.
On one show during his last year, Rush spoke of his reference to Tucker as Chatsworth Osborne Jr., but I don’t remember if he fully explained the reasoning. It always struck me as being at least somewhat derisive.
I’m guessing that Rush would be more supportive with the strength of Tucker’s views in recent years, especially the past two or so. His is one of a very few ‘don’t miss’ daily broadcasts for my wife and myself.
