I guess what is the saddest part is Goldberg’s immediate leap to condemn, before even checking the facts. In doing this he has revealed who he really is better even than anything he could have planned to do to accomplish the same thing.

Virginia does get sufficient enough snow to warrant snowplows and salt at least once a year.
Salt doesn’t have an expiration date, and the trucks used with the snowplows are useful all year round.
VDOT’s traffic cameras went down due to the power failures. So VDOT had no clue what was happening on I95. At one point some 350,000 customers were without power in Virginia.
I guess the concept of a bank of deep-cycle batteries and/or a small propane generator (Alpha makes one for broadband network powering applications that would work perfectly for this) escapes the folks at VDOT.

You are astute. Bur the budgeting was already accomplished by a liberal government and it failed again. Liberals are real good at making up worthless actions designed to create a feel good atmosphere of nothing more than a sham to garnish votes in the next election. Look at all the gun legislation they have created to be the answer to every question that was already answered. Then they blamed the gun for the failure of their policies. The only difference here is they are blaming a person for not arguing with their stupidity. The snow could always have been there and it is not going to be them to admit they screwed up due to reiteration.
