A whole LOT of weird things “tested positive”.
They were all over Youtube until the Youtube stasi took them down.
My kids took home tests purchased at Walmart after a potential exposure and they showed negative twice. And they didn’t get sick.
OMG, how horrible. Sincere condolences.

I believe some Covid test kits are reliable and probably some are not... But I cannot stress enough that you have to follow the instructions to a T exactly the way they tell you to. If you don’t swab correctly you’ll probably get an Insufficient result. I had to use one the other day when I was experiencing an excruciating headache runny nose and a scratchy throat. I have been a suffer of sinus headaches for quite some time but this one felt different so my husband went and bought me one from a nearby drugstore. We opened up the box and read the instructions over and over and over again until we knew exactly what to do. If you do not follow the instructions exactly chances are you will get an unreliable result. My was negative and today I’m feeling 100%! Thank God for the test kit I would’ve being stuck at our neighborhood clinic just to get tested for hours with other sick people!
“But you can pee on a pregnancy stick with 99% accuracy.”
I believe testing for pregnancy involves checking for a specific hormone in the blood. I’m guessing that’s different than checking for a virus, but I’m not a doctor (although I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express once).
I agree with gas_dr.
eyeamok you are spreading false information.
The covid tests until the brand new one was never designed to test for flu. It ONLY tested for covid.
If you had the flu and not covid, you would get a negative.
If you had covid and not the flu, you would get a positive.
If you were lucky enough to have both, you would get a positive.
The new covid test that they just read out is actually a Covid & Flu test in one. It will tell you whether you have neither, one or the other, or both.
Previously, to get that much information they would have to give you both a covid test and a flu test.
Your brother succumbed 20 days into an illness he was vaccinated against?
Got it. Thanks.
I ask because I have to take a home test prior to a company event and if I ring up positive, I cant go. Sounds like I might be able to plan on getting a negative test.
Are you saying the negative test made you feel 100% better?
“read the cdc statement”
I’m pretty sure that by all examples given so far the CDC cannot be trusted to tell you/us one lick of truth.
Here is where you need to step back and ask “Would they lie?” before you support them as a source of factual information.
Their information is just not working “in the real world”.
But you probably have to parrot them or lose your license or practice. But you are not required to also go out of your way to try and insult our intelligence...
Read #30...
> The PCR test can’t tell the difference between the common cold, influenza, what they call COVID or hemorrhoids, according to the CDC
Do you have a source for your claim? I am almost certain the CDC never made such a statement. I’m going to make a wild guess that your assertion based on a very cursory reading of a purposefully misleading article published by Gateway Pundit or some similar clickbait news source.
They are nurses and swab others all day...
However, that does not mean that news has yet meandered to the enemedia, hospitals, pharmacies, clinics. But, it is information that should be in anybody's awareness considering a test now in 2022.
Thank you. They just seem unreliable to me. It’s not just the home tests either. Didn’t Elon Musk take 4 PCR tests all on the same day, and 2 were positive, and two were negative? I may have that wrong, but I would like to see us get our act together on what’s really going on before we make rules that don’t make sense. Every day it’s something new. We seem to be flying by the seat of our pants and we are nearly 2 years into this gig. I just want to live my life every day without so much interference. Let’s move on.
Will these tests show you have already had Covid or that you already got the shots?
Or will they just you have an active infection or you don't.
I am pretty sure I have had Covid already, will these test show that?
Thank you. I came to terms with his death. It was his time, and none of us knew it. It’s my only way of coping with the catastrophe of his demise. Fortunately, he knew, loved, and served the Lord very well. He is in his forever home now.
He had just gotten the first shot. Obviously he was exposed right around the same time.
> This is not a true statement. Please actually read the cdc statement
Thanks for pushing back a bit on the misinformation, gas_dr.
I think they just show an active infection. From what I understand you have to have a lab do an antibody test to see if you already had it or not. Which most would probably have a doctor’s orders to get? Probably depends on your state laws. Maybe some states will allow 3rd party walk in labs to do it without the doctor referral?
